Touch The Stars Learning Activities
Music
- Hide the Star Game - Sing along to “Touch the Stars” while a leader holds up a cut-out star. When the leader shows the star the children sing out strongly with their voices, when the star is hidden behind the leaders back, the children ‘hide’ their voices in their head.
Dance
- What is a locomotor move? A movement in which the body travels across space (running, creeping, rolling).What is a non-locomotor move? A movement in which the body remains anchored to one spot by a body part (bending, twisting, stretching) - what kinds of movements can you spot in the song?
