“Musical activities include listening, singing, playing, moving and reading – all these facets of music is an intellectual pursuit demanding discipline and concentration!”

Sleepy Lullaby Medley

Listen to the song and ask the child how the song makes him/her feel? Describe the ‘mood’ of the music?’

Sing to the song to match the mood, that is sing along with the song in a sweet, soft voice.

Play soft sound percussion instruments like shakers or use soft sounding body percussion like fairy claps using two fingers.

Move gently to the music with scarves.

Read dots in a circle – draw 4 dots in a circle on paper, point to the dots and clap once for each dot. Draw a circle around one dot, which is now a rest (silent beat). Start at different points in the circle to create different rhythm patterns.
