Sing and Learn the Actions!

Lyrics

Silent night, holy night,
all is calm, all is bright.
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child,
Holy infant so tender and mild.
Sleep in heavenly peace,
sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight.
Glories stream from heaven afar,
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ, the Saviour is born,
Christ, the Saviour is born.

Silent night, holy night!
Son of God, love's pure light,
radiant beams from Thy holy face
with the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth,
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth.

  • Singing in tune can be learnt through regular practice, correct breathing and posture and focused listening.
  • Sing along to the harmony - two or more notes together.
  • Challenge: Sing along to the instrumental version also great for concerts and performances!

Visual Art

  • 'Crayon scratch art ' Use bright coloured crayons to completely colour in a blank piece of paper (blocks in different colours works well), don 't leave any white paper showing. Use a brush to paint black paint over the entire picture. When the black paint has dried completely, start scratching the black paint with a sharp stick like a bamboo skewer or the back end of a thin paint brush. Create a Christmas scene, stars, Christmas tree, Christmas bells etc. It 's magic!
