Lyrics

"4 3 2 1"

*Get down and boogie, get down and boogie.
Shake it up!
Go with the flow!
Hang loose, just like a long neck goose.
We 're playing statues, we 're playing statues.
We 're playing the statue song -
Oh yeah!

Everybody join on in, everybody join on in
Freeze!
Breathe and blink!
Hang loose, just like a long neck goose.
Don 't move a muscle, don 't move a muscle.
We 're playing the statue song -
Oh yeah!

Don 't be a party pooper, don 't be a party pooper.
Hey cool cat!
You 're real choice!
Hang loose, just like a long neck goose.
We 're having a good time; we 're having a great time.
We 're playing the statue song -
Oh yeah!

You 're out!
I have to say I love the smile on your face.
Isn 't it great!
You 're such a good sport!

Teachers

Music

  • Let different children experiment with conducting the class - raise arms for loud sounds and lower arms for soft sounds and pause music to stop playing. The rest of the class can make sounds with voices, found sounds e.g. tapping the desk, body percussion or instruments.

Dance

  • Dance freely to the music. Teacher stops the music randomly - children have to 'freeze ' their move. If anyone is caught moving they are 'out ', every child who is out can help the teacher be a judge.

Drama
